The ambitious project of Academia aims to promote and document the unique cultural heritage of Lesvos, as inspired by the daily life of the locals and producers of this island.
The idea is anchored on the principles of accessibility, pure ingredients with low-carbon footprint, technical innovation and a first-employee philosophy, all designed to satisfy demanding costumers.
The end goal is understanding Lesvos interactively by sharing and by re-living interesting lingual, visual and culinary stories. The journey will ideally develop into a friendship.
Academia offers the opportunity to experience the exceptional quality of the local products, to distinguish the uniqueness of their flavour, and to witness producers’ deep knowledge of traditional techniques, and their love for values that have stood through time.
Those who wish to, can take part in Academia’s interactive labs and presentations, offering the opportunity to learn and taste the secrets of ouzo, extra virgin olive oil and traditional freshly baked goods, in the style of the ancient Greek symposium.
